Nyack Bond Referendum Voting; Local Teams in Section Playoffs

1) Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for residents in the Nyack Public School District to cast their votes in a referendum on the district's proposed $26.4 million capital projects plan. The Nyack Public Schools Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday evening, reconvening to accept the tentative results once they are in some time after 9:15 p.m. Read more here.
2) Two Nyack High School sports teams will compete in the Section 1 playoffs Tuesday. The field hockey team will play at Byram Hills at 1 p.m. and the girls soccer team will be play Eastchester at Tuckahoe at 3 p.m. The Tappan Zee girls soccer team will also be in action, playing at home home against Walter Panas at 4:30 p.m.
3) Tuesday's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a high temperature around 55 degrees.
4) The Rockland County Board of Elections will hold extended office hours tomorrow until 7 p.m. for those needing to apply for an absentee ballot.
