Two Charged In Theft Of Clothing, Cosmetics At Palisades Center

An New Windsor resident and a Franklin Lakes, NJ, resident are charged with petty larceny in connection with separate incidents in which a total of $240 worth of merchandise was reported stolen from two mall stores in West Nyack, according to .
- Tyree Smallwood, 19, of New Windsor, was arrested 6 p.m. Tuesday after staff at the store complained that he tried to leave the store without paying for $120 worth clothing. Police said Tyree is accused of taking several pieces of clothing from a display and putting them into a shopping bag from another store.
Smallwood was released pending a Jan. 25, 2012, hearing in in New City.

— Courtney Latka, 22, of Franklin Lakes, NJ, was arrested 9:40 p.m. Tuesday after staff at the store complained that she tried to leave the store without paying for $120 worth of cosmetics. Police said Latka is accused of putting the items into a shopping bag.
Latka was released pending a Jan. 30 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court.
