UNICEF Brings Golf Classic to West Nyack

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) will bring its fundraising efforts to West Nyack Monday with its 2nd Annual Drive For Zero Golf Classic at Manhattan Woods Golf Club.

Co-chairs Bryant Gumbel, Philip Birsh and Lou Switzer host the event, which will also draw former New York Knick John STarks, Dick Smith, Sr., and Christian Simonds among others. The Drive for Zero refers to UNICEF's work to save lives and golfers' pursuit of the lowest score possible. 

The day-long event begins with breakfast at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m. UPS is sponsoring parts of the day, inclduing the awards ceremony at 4 p.m. There will also be a silent auctions including a Los Angeles Lakers jersey autographed by Pao Gasol and a set of Nike golf clubs donated by pro golfer Rory McIlroy. 

UNICEF works in over 190 countries to help improve children's lives, providing a range of services including health care, clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education and emergency relief. Find out more about the event here
