Nyack Senior Alex Ferrante finished in a four-way tie for fifth place with a two-day score of 152 at the 2013 NYSPHSAA Golf Championships after the first of two days of play at Cornell University's Trent Jones Golf Course.
Ferrante led the tournament after shooting an even-par 71 Sunday, but turned in an 81 Monday. Shaker Senior Davis Jensen won with a two-day total of 147, three shots ahead of second-place Alec Bard of New Hartford. Jensen's two-over-par 73 was the low score Monday.
The next highest finisher from Section 1 was Scarsdale's Josh Goldenberg, who was tied for 15th with a 158.
