I'm most fulfilled when teaming up with smart, hardworking people who share my passion for community service. That's why I love working with local government, where our projects have a direct impact on quality of life, safety, beauty and economic opportunity.

I was raised in rural NH where my family returns each Christmas to cut a tree from my dad's land and celebrate the holidays together.

My wife Rachel Grob is originally from Stony Point. She telecommutes to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she teaches and does research on health policy. Her books and articles focus on newborn screening, technology and equity issues.

Here in Rockland, we're lucky to have Rachel's parents and other relatives with lots of cousins for our kids to enjoy, plus the annual Jewish holidays we celebrate together.

When not working or taking care of domestic concerns, I like to play ping pong, hike and read poetry (since I never have enough time to read novels....)
