Andrea Elam, Neighbor

I live in Peekskill with my husband and three children.  We have lived in Peekskill for almost 11 years.  Two of my children currently attend the Peekskill public schools.  I am a professional dancer/dance teaching artist/choreographer and currently have a community-based dance ensemble called "Synapses Dance".  Our group's mission is to bring dance to our community, to make it accessible to everyone and to provide local youth with opportunities to attend, create and perform dance.  I am also on the artist rosters of Dance Theater of Harlem, ArtsWestchester and PNW BOCES.  In addition, I work part-time as the Westchester Community Health Educator for the NYC Poison Control Center.
