Congregation Sons of Israel celebrates its 120th year this year! It was founded in 1891 and settled in itsMore current location in 1967. CSI serves Nyack's Jewish population with the goals of promoting and enriching spiritual life. Sons of Israel is warm, welcoming and inclusive, and its membership is diverse.

The main synagogue features a sanctuary, newly renovated and expanded social hall, main office, library, office, rabbi's study, and a large meeting room and lobby area. A new education center was recently completed. It includes a large multi-purpose room, classrooms and an office.

Starting on July 1, 2011, Congregation Sons of Israel's spiritual leader will be Rabbi Jeffrey Abraham, who received his rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary in May 2011.

In addition to weekly Shabbat services and Sunday morning minyon, CSI offers an award-winning Adult Education program;  Tot Shabbat, Munchkins and Mishpacha and Yoga for Kids programs for our youngest children. It also offers a "boutique" Hebrew school for children in kindergarten through seventh grade, with small classes and individualized instruction.
