The Rockland Community Foundation salutes ShopRite, People to People and our legislators whoRead More participated in the Partners in Caring "Help Bag Hunger' program. Hunger is a critical and growing concern in our county. Programs such as these go far in calling attention to this issue while bringing food to families in need.

The shelter is being mismanaged and no wants to do anything to address why there are so manyRead More problems. The place needs to be swept clean and all the positions need to be re-filled with properly screened, competent and qualified staff.

Beyond funds and publicity, REbuild is seeking volunteers for needed services and experts in theRead More building trades once the hopeful new construction for a new building is underway. Sounds like some folks might fit that to a tee, past "mistakes" not withstanding!

The best way to see if one wants to volunteer now is to attend the meeting. There are certainly manyRead More positive and constructive ways to help the effort now if one is truly devoted to animal welfare in Rockland County going forward.

It is great to see humanity still exists in business as well as in the community. Thank you LeaderRead More Carpet, you are an inspiration to us all

It's wonderful to see a local business fully support people to people (who do great work). I haveRead More used Leader in the past and this type of local support just confirms that I made the right decision! Thank you to all at Leader and HGTV, and People to People!

I cannot believe this event was cancelled. It did not rain until later in the day. I was planningRead More to come and see the vendors after the walk. The brochure said it was "rain or shine". I think a lot of vendors and a lot of particpants were very disapointed. I am glad I did not sign up.

If Gromack gave the $75,000 to People to People instead of to a political hack like Sparaco for aRead More no show part time job, they could buy $520,000 worth of food for the poor, but then it may hurt Gromacks election chances so he wont do it.

If the cops took a10% cut in their salaries and 81 days off, it would save about $3 million andRead More People to People could buy $21 million in food, wiping out hunger. Imagine that.

Hey, there is only so much money to go around. When you give 30% of the Towns Revenue to about 200Read More people in the police dept., the poor usually sucks wind. The PBA will do a small benefit for the poor so you keep off Their back.

Steven Reich - Your view is pretty condescending. People generally are able to figure out and doRead More what is best for them. One of the biggest problems I have with President Obama and the Democratic Party in general is that they think people are fools who need to be told what to do by their betters.

He meant to save this country from BHO's goal of making the USA a socialist nation. GM is alive andRead More Osama Bin Laden is dead but Al-Queda is alive and Ambassador Stevens and Brian Terry are dead.
Christopher Palacios September 24, 2012 at 12:10 am
For two years the democrts held control of both houses and the presidency. Don't blame theRead More republicans. He (BHO) was able to pass anything he wanted regardless of what Republicans thought. It's been about 8 months since BHO met with his jobs committee because of his fundraisers, celebrity parties and golf. BHO is clueless as president.
