Owner and executive chef Alain Eigenmann and partner Daout Celestin re-opened the Sidewalk Café as Sidewalk Bistro in 2008. The owners completely gutted the kitchen and dining room and created a totally new, artsy space. The restaurant is more like a brasserie than a bistro, with lots of beers on tap at the big, inviting mahogany bar. The wine selection is comprehensive and reasonably priced, and pairs perfectly with the authentic French menu. On nice days, you can enjoy your drink at an outdoor table in front of the bistro, and starting Memorial Day weekend, the spacious brick patio garden is open in back for additional outdoor dining.
