Trick or Treat, Live Music and Library Theatre

There are many ways to keep busy around Nyack and Piermont this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you.

Orangeburg Fire Department Halloween Parade
  • Where: Orangeburg firehouse at the corner of Dutch Hill Road and Orangeburg Road in Orangeburg
  • When: Thursday, Oct. 31 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Description: The annual Halloween celebration is open to all. The parade route will impact Dutch Hill Road, Dutch Hollow Drive, Devon Drive and Parkway Drive South. Dutch Hill Road will be closed to traffic from Orangeburg Road to Carlton Road during the event. 
Trick or Treat at Palisdes Center Mall
  • Where: Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack
  • When: Thursday, Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Description: Go trick or treating in stores and restaurants in Palisades Center Mall. There will also be an opportunity to take Halloween-themed pictures in the J.C. Penny court.  
Euphonium Recital
  • Where: SalvationArmy Congerence Center at 440 West Nyack Road in West Nyack
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Description: Aaron VanderWeele, Euphonium professor at Rutgers University and New Jersey City University, hosts this annual studio recital with students and professionals including Grammy Award-winning pianist Allison Franzetti. The hour-long program of classical and jazz music is free and will be followed by a dessert reception. Read more here
"Time Stands Still" at Nyack Library
  • Where: Nyack Public Library at 59 South Broadway in Nyack
  • When: Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 pm.
  • Cost: Free
  • Description: M&M Productions Acting Company presents "Time Stands Still" by playwright Donald Margulies to lead off the 13th season of Library Theatre. Registration is required. Call (845) 358-3370 ext 214. Read more here
