Day Trip: Wreaths, Ornaments & Tastings in the Hudson Valley
14 spots on the Shawangunk Wine Trail have created a holiday event that starts this weekend.
It's a short drive to the Wine Trail featuring family-owned wineries nestled between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Hudson River between New Paltz and Warwick.
The wineries have put together a fun holiday tradition. Reserve a spot, take some friends, and go to up to 14 wineries for tastings and tapas—and maybe get some presents for folks on your list!
Every participant receives a souvenir glass, a grapevine wreath and an ornament from the Shawangunk Wine Trail—and an ornament from each winery they visit.
Dates are Nov. 23, 24, Dec. 7, 8, 14 or 15. You must sign up in advance.
