Eight Nights of Oil at Old World Market

  • Description: Meet Hebrew Learning Circles staff and learn about the program. There will be gourmet oil tasting, a free raffle and fun with dreidles. 
Colin Kane at Levity Live
  • Where: Levity Live in Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack
  • When: Friday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 24. Friday shows at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m.
  • Cost: $20 per ticket
  • Description: Must be 18 years or older to attend this show. Kane has performed at Caroline's and Madison Square Garden and is known for dirty humor. For reservations, call (845) 353-5400 or go to levitylive.com
Holiday Boutique A la Russe/A Taste of Russia
  • Where: Holy Virgin Protection Church at 51 Prospect Street in Nyack
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Description: This is an annual Russian cultural festival with food, music and shopping. There will be live Russian music playing all through the two-day event and performances by Russian dancers both days. Sample authentic Russian cuisine and pastries and shop for crafts, novelties and vintage items. 
Overtures Concert: Chamber Music Masters
  • Where: Rockland Conservatory of Music
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.
  • Cost: $25 for adults, age 18 admitted for free
  • Description: This latest of the Overtures Concert series features cellist Matt Haimovitz. Performers also include Andy Simionescu (violin), Cyrus Beroukhim (violin), Nokuthula Ngwenyama (viola) and Jung Lin (piano). Overtures is a community concert series created to celebrate the Conservatory's home in Pearl River. Blue Event to Benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research 
  • Where: Outside In at 249 Ferdon Ave. in Piermont
  • When: Sunday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Description: The Artisan Food Bazaar at Piermont's Outside In is just part of the Blue Event, which is raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation through the end of November. Sam Glaser in Concert
  • Where: Rockland Jewish Community Center in West Nyack
  • When: Sunday, Nov. 24, 4 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Description: Jewish performer Sam Glaser will play a Chanukah show as part of his 50 city The Promise Concert Tour.  Find out more about Glaser at www.samglaser.com.
