Then & Now Handprint Ceremony

Among the special events that will take place during our grand opening, is a ceremony being held on Saturday, October 12 at 11 a.m. in Macy’s Plaza.  The ceremony involves local children who will place their prints on a new monument, replicating an original monument that was created in 1969 when Nanuet Mall first opened.  During the excavation process of Nanuet Mall we carefully saved that piece of history knowing that we wanted to find a way to make it a more prominent part of the eventual redevelopment of the property.

This Then & Now exhibit will be permanently displayed by our new main entrance to Macy’s along Fashion Drive and serve as a tribute to our past, present and future.
