Rockland's Tallman Mountain Park Pool in Piermont Reopens

Rockland County residents will have another place to splash and swim this summer. The Journal News reports that Orangetown’s Tallman Mountain Park Pool reopened after closing four years ago due to budget cuts.

The pool—at 2 Tallman Mountain Rd. in Piermont, which is adjacent to Piermont Marsh and overlooks the Hudson River—is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday until Sept. 8. 

The cost is $12 for adults and $8 for children aged 9-years-old and under, there are also season passes. Cabanas, locker and chair rentals, as well as concierge services are also available.

According to The Journal News, Tallman Recreation LLC. signed a rent-free 10-year lease with Palisades Interstate Park Commission, which requires the Pomona-based company to maintain and operate the pool for the public.

The firm plans to make between $50,000 and $75,000 in renovations to the facility, including a bigger main pool.
