Upper Nyack Represented in Hawaii Race

Dave Nazaroff competes in Ironman World Championship.

Upper Nyack's Dave Nazaroff, owner of Toga Bike Shop, competed in the Ironman World Championship this past weekend, swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles and running 26.2 miles—consecutively.

The marathon was held in Kona, on Hawaii's scenic coast. Nazaroff finished the grueling race in eleven hours, 30 minutes and 37 seconds on Saturday night.

Nazaroff qualified for the 2012 Ironman World Championship last August, after snagging an impressive time in the New York Ironman. In August, Nazaroff pedaling through Rockland and swam down the Hudson River.
