Tappan Zee Girls Soccer Earns No. 4 Seed; Nyack No. 14

Tappan Zee earned the No. 4 seed in the Section 1 Class A girls soccer playoffs, which open with play-in games Friday.

No. 14 Nyack will face a play-in game at home against No. 19 Edgemont 3 p.m. Friday at MacCalman Field, with the boys soccer playoff game to follow at 6 p.m. The winner Friday's girls soccer game would advance to play at No. 3 Saunders in a first-round game Saturday.

Tappan Zee will be at home Saturday against the winner of Friday's play-in game between No. 20 Lakeland and No. 13 Lourdes. 

Section 1 released its playoff seeds and pairings Thursday. The top seeds are North Rockland in Class AA, Byram Hills in Class A, Briarcliff in Class B and Solomon Schechter in Class C.
