Nyack senior Alex Ferrante shot a 71 Sunday to lead the 2013 NYSPHSAA Golf Championships after the first of two days of play at Cornell University's Trent Jones Golf Course.
Ferrante was scheduled to tee off Monday morning with a two-shot lead over another Section 1 golfer, Christian Cavaliere of Somers, and D.J. Griffiths of Susquehanna Valley. Those three were in the final group Monday, scheduled to the course at 9:38 a.m.
