Nyack, Tappan Zee Open Playoffs With Home Games Friday

Nyack and Tappan Zee will both open with home games Friday in the first round of the Section 1 Class A boys soccer playoffs.

No. 8 seed Nyack will play the winner of Thursday's play-in game between No. 24 Gorton and No. 9 Eastchester. Tappan Zee, the No. 6 seed, gets the winner of No. 22 Harrison at No. 11 Sleepy Hollow. 

Byram Hills is the top seed in Class A with Lakeland No.2. The other top seeds in boys soccer are Arlington in Class AA, Bronxville in Class B and Schechter in Class C. Play-in games are Thursday with the first round Friday.
