Nyack, Clarkstown Lacrosse Battle For Patriot Cup, Adopt-A-Platoon

The Patriot Cup Game and donations for Adopt-A-Platoon will be part of the festivities Saturday at Clarkstown South.

The Clarkstown South and Nyack High School lacrosse programs all draw players from Clarkstown Patriots Youth Lacrosse.

All three programs will come together for a day of lacrosse and support for the Adopt-A-Platoon program Saturday at Clarkstown South.

The games begin with the Patriots fifth graders taking on Orangetown at 8:30 a.m. and wrap up with the Nyack and Clarkstown South boys varsity at 7 p.m. in the Patriot Cup Game. The Clarkstown Patriots are donating the Patriot Cup to the winner of the contest.

Representatives of the Adopt-A-Platoon program will be accepting donations to send to members of the United States armed forces stationed overseas all through the day with the help of Nyack and Clarkstown South high school players. Those interested should bring individually wrapped personal items such as snacks, light reading material, hygiene products, dry drink mixes and games any time during the event.

The full schedule of games is as follows:

Lower Field

  • 8:30 a.m. - Fifth grade Patriots vs. Orangetown
  • 10:30 a.m. - Fourth grade Patriots vs. Orangetown
  • 11:30 a.m. - Third grade Patriots vs. Orangetown

Upper (Turf) Field

  • 10:30 a.m. - Sixth grade Patriots vs. Orangetown
  • 11:30 a.m. - Seventh grade Patriots vs. Orangetown
  • 1 p.m. - Nyack vs. Clarkstown South girls varsity
  • 2:30 p.m. - Nayck vs. Clarkstown South girls junior varsity
  • 5 p.m. - Nyack vs. Clarkstown South boys junior varsity
  • 7 p.m. Nyack vs. Clarkstown South boys varsity
