The Nyack Boat Club Cruising Fleet of sailboats races across a course that can be set anywhere from Tappan Zee Light 14 off Tarrytown harbor to the water off Nyack Beach Park or up to Rockland Light off the coast near Ossining. Every Wednesday, the boats race according to the USSA Rules of Racing and a handicap system similar to the system used to rank golfers. Each boat is weighed, measured and rated.
