South Nyack 10-Mile Run

The 24th annual South Nyack 10-Mile Run is Sunday, Sept. 9, 8:30 a.m., starting at Franklin Street Park near the South Nyack firehouse. The race has been designated the USA Track & Field-New York 10-mile championship. The event benefits South Nyack and Piermont fire departments, Nyack Ambulance Corps and Nyack soup kitchens. Entry fee before Sept. 1 is $25 for Rockland Road Runners members and residents of South Nyack, Piermont and Grand View, and $30 for nonmembers. After Sept. 1 and on race day, entry fee is $35 for all participants. Check-in goes from 7 to 8:15 a.m. Children's Fun Runs start at 8:15 a.m. T-shirts are limited to first 400 entrants, and are not guaranteed to race-day entrants. Pre-race packet pickup is noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Orangetown Fire House, 90 Depot Place, South Nyack.
