Highlights: Kevin Dinnegan led the way with 17 points and Brendan Donahue tacked on 14 as Tappan Zee won convincingly at home.

Sport: Girls Basketball

Game: Nyack vs. Tappan Zee

Score: Tappan Zee Won 49-32

Highlights: Valerie DiMuro picked up 14 points for Tappan Zee while teammate Erika Richards finished with 12. Tiffany Salcito was the only Indian in double figures as she finished with 10 in the loss.

 

Sport: Boys Basketball

Game: Clarkstown North vs. North Rockland

Score: North Rockland Won 60-52

Highlights: North Rockland’s Alex Ramirez led all scorers with 25 points and Charles Nardone added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Zach Jarret led North in the loss with 21.

 

Sport: Girls Basketball

Game: Clarkstown North vs. North Rockland

Score: North Rockland Won 52-47

Highlights: Cierra Rivera led the Red Raiders with 18 points and Olivia Burden and Fiona Pierre each tacked on 10 in the win. Brianne Schneider led the Rams with 13 points in the loss.

In ice hockey, Clarkstown will host North Rockland at the Palisades Ice Arena at 4:50 p.m.

In boys basketball, Clarkstown North will host Clarkstown South at 6:15 p.m.

South Wins League for the First Time Since 2003

Clarkstown South’s girls basketball team beat up on Rampo at home yesterday as the Vikings won 71-34 to clinch their first league title in nearly a decade.

South was led by Alison Haugh’s 16 points and Madeline Downes added 15 in the win for the team. Siobhan Maguire had a double-double for the Vikings with 11 points and 10 boards.

Taniya Scott led Ramapo with eight points in the loss.
