 The Nyack College men’s basketball team, still looking for its first win of the season, fell to 0-14 on the season after losing to host Bloomfield (NJ) College, 93-53.

The Warriors, 0-4 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, were led by sophomore guard Jose Pena-Benjamin of Rahway, NJ, who had 10 points, and Maliek Patterson of Brooklyn, a freshman forward who pulled down a team-leading 10 rebounds in defeat.

Nyack College goes back to work on Jan. 12 when the Warriors host Post at 8 p.m.

Sport: Wrestling

Game: Clarkstown North vs. Clarkstown South

Score: Clarkstown South Won 53-21

Highlights: At 145 South’s Liam Gallagher pinned his opponent in 50 seconds, not to be outdone teammate Nick Holohan (285) won his match with a pin in 49 seconds for the shortest match of the day. North’s Brian Hong (99) and Joe Alexander (138) each won their individual matchups with a pin. Check out a brief photo gallery of the match on our Facebook page.

 

Sport: Boys Basketball

Game: Nyack vs. Albertus Magnus

Score: Albertus Magnus Won 62-40

Highlights: Pat McGuinness led all scorers with 17 points while Tyler Sayre picked up his second straight double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Deashawn Rodriguez led Nyack with 16 points in the loss.

 

Sport: Ice Hockey

Game: Clarkstown vs. Mamaroneck

Score: Mamaroneck Won 6-5

 

Sport: Boys Swimming

Game: Clarkstown vs. North Rockland

Score: Clarkstown Won 98-82

Highlights: Clarkstown’s Brian Foley finished in first place in the 200 Individual Medley while Mehrad Taskindoust came in first in the 100 Butterfly and Eric Farm won gold in the 500 Freestyle. North Rockland’s Brandon Finn came in first in the 50 Freestyle and second in the 500 Freestyle. Clarkstown improves to 5-0 with the win.
