North and South Football Square Off Again

Most of the local area teams were off on Wednesday as their seasons either wrapped earlier in the week, or they were getting ready for the playoffs. One game that was in action was Clarkstown North’s soccer team at Bronxville. The Rams came up short on the road but now everyone locally can turn their attention to today’s big game.

The Vikings and the Rams will square off for the second time in less then a week. South thanks in large part to late field goal last Friday and took the win 17-14. It was a defensive struggle that gave the Vikings their first Supervisor’s cup since 2008.

Nothing like a little cross district rivalry to begin the playoffs, right?

Nyack football will have to wait until Friday night as the Indians will host Lakeland at 7 p.m.

Sport: Girl’s Soccer

Game: Clarkstown North @ Bronxville

Score:  Bronxville Won 3-0

Highlights: The Broncos got three goals from three different players as they beat the Rams Wednesday night. Ashley Gietl, Maddie Campbell and Jessica Tarangioli found the back of the net for the home team, Amy Pepe assisted on two of the team’s goals. Alexa Rosen had three saves in the loss.
