Clarkstown Wins Sections Championship

Felix Festa Middle School was the center of the section one sports world last night as the school hosted the section one swim championships. The deep Clarkstown team won the event by over 100 points. .

The United Way of Westchester and Putnam will be hosting the third annual run united, a 5K run for health. Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way initiatives taking place in both counties. The event takes place Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Purchase College.

Yesterday’s Results:

Sport: Girl’s Swimming

Game: Section 1 Championships

Score: Clarkstown 303 (First Place) Full Results 

Highlights: Junior Rachel Kim led the way for Clarkstown as she won the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Kim, along with Hannah Dari and freshmen Briana Keaveney and Lauren Sweet finished first in the 200 Freestlye with a time of 1:38.16.

 

Score: Nyack 12 (25th place)               

Highlights: Tiana Poindexter finished in seventh place in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 25.38.
