Clarkstown North, TZHS Boys Soccer Open Season with a 3-3 Tie

Tappan Zee comes back after falling behind, 3-1; neither team could score in two overtime periods.

It was an exciting first game of the year for the Clarkstown North varsity boys soccer team on Thursday, with the Rams quickly going ahead against Tappan Zee High School.

However, the Dutchmen recovered in the second half and the teams left the field with a 3-3 tie after play two overtime periods.

Goals and Assists

Clarkstown North

Cole Spagnelli (Freshman-first varsity goal) @ 9 minutes from Martin Domosi (Assist)

Salvatore Barbetto received the ball from Andrew Pellechia(Assist) and beat one defender to put Clarkstown up 2-0 @ the 16th minute.

Martin Domosi scored a penalty kikc off of a penalty to Ryan Patino @ the 54th minute to put Clarkstown up 3-1 at the time.

TZ

Cristian Goldstein scored his first two Varsity goals for TZ at minutes 46 and 70. Both unassisted.

Kevin Lynch Scored at the 75th minute to help TZ send the game into OT. His goal was also unassisted.

Christian Obernesser had 11 saves in 100 minutes of play

Juan Umana had 2 saves and gave up 2 goals in the first 40

Ross Kruse made 4 saves and gave up 1 goal in the final 60 minutes.
