Baseball, Softball Umpire Training Program Set for March

Rockland ASA Umpires seeks men, women interesting in officiating youth and adult games.

There's still a lot of snow on the ground, but Rockland County's baseball and softball leagues are getting ready for the 2013 season.

And, so are the umpires.

Rockland ASA Umpires, an association whose members officiate youth and adult baseball and softball games, is seeking new members. The organization has scheduled a training clinic for new members for March 1.

ASA members officiate at Little League and other youth baseball and softball games, as well as adult recreational softball games throughout Rockland County.
