Two New City Chamber of Commerce Scholarships

Bowling fundraiser being held for scholarships.

The New City Chamber of Commerce encourages Clarkstown North and South high school seniors to apply for their scholarships.  For the first time, the Chamber will be selecting one Clarkstown North and one Clarkstown South senior to each receive a $2,000 scholarship.

The applications are available online at the Chamber’s website by clicking the “applications” tab.  The form requires an essay and information about community service activities.  Applications are also available in the high school guidance offices. The application deadline is May 7 and the scholarships will be presented at the Chamber meeting on June 7.

On Sunday, March 18 the Chamber is holding a bowling fundraiser for the scholarship program at New City Bowl. For a $35 donation, bowlers will get two games, shoes and a buffet.  Reservations are requested at roxy.perronucci316@gmail.com.

2,000 dollars? Um...they do realize that won't even cover books for two semesters in a row?
