Teachers from around the country create high school programming around the challenge to inspire students and get them involved in science, engineering and alternative energy by teaching students to design, engineer and build solar cars.

The race will take the Rockland County students to Dallas/Forth Worth Marriott Hotel in Texas through Arizona and New Mexico and will end at the Radisson Midtown Hotel at USC in Los Angeles.
