Nyack Schools Hold Public Hearing, Math Program Presentation
UPDATED: This meeting has been cancelled with no make-up date. The next board of education meeting is Feb. 4.
Nyack Public Schools Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Personnel Dr. Winsome Gregory will review the district's math curriculum during the board of education meeting 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nyack Middle School.
The PowerPoint slides for the presentation are available on the district website along with the full meeting agenda here. There was no word as of 7 a.m. if the meeting would be cancelled due to the predicted snow in the area Tuesday.
The presentation will include shifts in the math curriculum due to the Common Core and a detailed action plan for the district going forward, including goals for resources, professional development and work with families of students.
There will also be a public hearing regarding tax exemptions for veterans.
