Nyack Schools 2013-14 Budget Passes

Voters passed the 2013-14 Nyack Public School District budget Tuesday
There were 896 total votes cast, 648 for and 248 against, a 72.3 percent approval
Voters also re-elected Dan Juechter and Michael Mark to the board of education. Mark received 705 votes and Juechter got 637. They ran unopposed. 
The 2013-14 budget calls for a 2.92 tax levy increase, which is below the state mandated cap.

Elsewhere in Orangetown, the school district budgets in Pearl River and South Orangetown also passed Tuesday.
