Nyack School Board Incumbents to Run Unopposed

No challengers submitted petitions to run against incumbents Dan Juechter and Michael Mark by Monday's deadline.

Incumbents Michael Mark and Dan Juechter will face no opposition to retain their seats on the Nyack School District Board of Trustees.

The board vote and the 2013-14 Nyack School District budget will be on the ballot May 21. The trustees are expected to adopt the proposed $75,511,424 budget during Tuesday's board meeting, 7:30 p.m. in the Hilltop Board Room.

Mark, the current board vice president, is completing his sixth term. Mark is a professional musician and a 26-year resident of Valley Cottage.

Juechter will complete his first term this June. He is a certified financial planner who owns his own firm. The 16-year resident of Nyack has two children in the district, one in the high school and one in the middle school.
