Nyack Middle School Gets Set For Hairspray Jr.

Show to be performed on the stage at the old Nyack High School.

Students at Nyack Middle School are getting set to put on their 2012 school play, which this year features a production of Hairspray Jr.

Volunteer parents and students have spent the past week getting the stage at the old Nyack High School set for the show.

About the show: Set in 1962 in Baltimore, MD, it's about Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and even bigger dreams — to dance on the Corny Collins television show. Can a larger-than-life teen vanquish the program's reining princess, integrate the show, and find true love?
