Right from the start of the game, it became clear that Friday was going to be Nyack's night on the football field.
At the 11:26 mark at the start of Nyack's home game at McCallman Field in Nyack, the Indians launched the scoring and kept it going throughout the game to take a 46-6 victory over the Gorton High School Wolves.
Gorton made it's only scoring opportunity at 5:24 in the first quarter. While they got the touchdown, the extra-point try was low and no good.
At half-time, Nyack fans got a look at the future of Nyack football: The kids of the Valley Cottage Indians football program were introduced and romped on the field to the cheers of friends and family members.
