Inspire Nyack Casino Night to Benefit Nyack Schools

Inspire Nyack, the foundation established to support educational initiatives in the Nyack public schools, is hoping local residents will bet on the future of public schools.

The foundation, which in February gave Nyack schools a to be used toward science classes, is set to host its Sixth Annual Casino Night on Friday, May 17, at the Nyack Seaport in Nyack.

The event is set to run from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., with funds from the event to go toward the funding of educational enrichment programs in the Nyack School District.

Inspire Nyack has donated more than $250,000 to help fund and expand the popular robotics program that was started a few years ago. With the additional funding provided from last year's Casino Night the robotics program has continued its expansion so that younger students could take a turn exploring the wonderful world of robotics in a fun environment, according to Inspire Nyack.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $150 for a single ticket, $250 for a couple. Nyack School District employees can purchase a single ticket for $100. There's also a bonus of extra chips for the Casino Night for buying tickets early, by May 1.

The event includes a Texas Hold Em 50/50 tournament, raffle prizes and an auction.
