Summer Science Enrichment Program

St. Thomas Aquinas College is proud to announce its premier Summer Science Enrichment Program for 2012. This year's topic: Forensic Science. This program is open to students entering the 7th grade in September 2012, this two-week program is designed to give potential young scientists the opportunity to develop their interests in the practices of scientific inquiry. This year's program will focus on forensic science investigations. Students will have the opportunity to analyze soil, hair and fiber samples, blood splatter patterns, fingerprints, and more. Students will be working in small groups supervised by college faculty from the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences and the School of Teacher Education. Qualified  teachers will also assist with supervision and instruction.

The program will run from from July 16-26th, Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM to 12:00PM at St. Thomas Aquinas College. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the program. Families will receive further information on the specific location within the college upon acceptance into the program.

A non-refundable fee of $300 will be required after a student is accepted into the program. Do not send any checks with the application.

Application forms (to be completed by a parent/guardian) and teacher referral forms (to be completed by student's current science teacher) must be completed and returned to St. Thomas Aquinas College by April 27th. Parents will be notified in early May if their child has been accepted into the program.
