St. Thomas Aquinas College Slates 55th Commencement for Friday, May 11th

Gary Krupp, founder of “Pave the Way Foundation to address graduates.

The St. Thomas Aquinas College 55th Commencement is scheduled for Friday, May 11th at 2 p.m. Just over 400 students will graduate with associate, bachelors, masters’ degrees or post graduate certificates. The graduates will receive their diplomas on the College’s sprawling lawn.

This year, the commencement address will be given by Gary Krupp, founder of the Pave the Way Foundation, an organization whose mission is to encourage cultural, educational, charitable and technological gestures, as well as to recognize and eradicate non-theological obstacles between the faiths. Mr. Krupp will also receive an Honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree.

Additional honorary degree recipients include Richard F. Connolly (Doctor of Commercial Science), Ann Marie Connolly (Doctor of Pedagogy), John J. Ferguson (Doctor of Laws), Karen S. Ferguson (Doctor of Humane Letters) and Meredith S. Krupp (Doctor of Humane Letters),

Over 2,500 family and friends typically attend this annual event. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the Aquinas Hall Gymnasium and the audience will be limited to ticket holders for the indoor event.

Gary Krupp founded the Pave the Way Foundation alongside his wife, Meredith in 2002. Pave the Way is an international foundation, existing in countries such as Italy, France, Switzerland, Israel, Poland, Serbia, India, South America and the United Kingdom to name a few. In 2000, Mr. Krupp was named Knight Commander of the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Gregory the Great by Pope John Paul II.  He is also the recipient of the Jewish National Fund’s Centennial Tree of Life Award and in 2005 he was invested, by permission of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, into the Anglican Order of S.
