Nyack Hospital to Host Free Stroke Awareness Program

In recognition of National Stroke Awareness Month, Nyack Hospital will host a Free Stroke Awareness program on May 11 at 6:30 pm.  Members of the Hospital’s medical staff will present the latest information regarding signs and symptoms of stroke, the importance of early treatment, and hypertension, which is a major risk factor for stroke.

Strokes can happen to anyone at any time regardless of race, gender, or age. Since strokes can happen suddenly, it is extremely important to know the risk factors and what steps can be taken to prevent stroke. Acting quickly in the case of stroke is of utmost importance.
