Historic Palisades-Snedens Landing House Tour

"Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, Blue Rock School Presents:   Historic Palisades-Snedens Landing House Tour, Saturday, May 12.”

West Nyack, NY— Blue Rock School is commemorating its 25th year by returning to its roots in the Palisades for one day.  Before relocating to its current 4.5-acre campus in West Nyack in 1990, the school was in residence at the historic, one-room school house built in 1870 on Oak Tree Road in Palisades, New York.

On Saturday, May 12 of Mother’s Day weekend, Blue Rock School is hosting the  “Historic Palisades-Snedens Landing House Tour” from 10am to 4pm with a reception to follow from 3:30 to 5:30pm at the Palisades School House, now known as the Palisades Community Center, which will showcase student artwork and a 25th Anniversary photo retrospective.

“In addition to being the school’s 25th anniversary, it also happens to be the year of our 5th biennial house tour, and it seemed befitting to hold it in the Palisades. We have an impressive selection of charming, historic homes−where river views and lovely gardens abound.  It will be a simply delightful day and the quintessential   Mother’s Day gift,” states Blue Rock School’s Development Director, Beth Norman.

Tickets are $35 in advance and available at www.bluerockschool.org, and $40 the day of the tour at two locations− The House Tour Hospitality Center located in Upper Nyack at 7 Tompkins Court, and also at the Palisades Community Center at 675 Oak Tree Road, in Palisades, NY.  Admission to the reception is included in the ticket price and will include wine and refreshments.
