Empty Bowls: Nyack H.S. Fundraiser Helps the Homeless

Have some soup, get a handmade bowl created by a NHS student.

Nyack High School students are inviting the community to have some soup with them — and help the homeless.

The school's SOS Club has its 2013 Empty Bowls fundraiser set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 in the cafeteria at Nyack High School in Upper Nyack. For $15, participants get all the soup they can eat and a handmade bowl created by a NHS student.

Funds raised at the even go toward efforts to help the homeless.

In addition to the soup, live entertainment will be provided by the Nyack High School Jazz Band.

The Empty Bowls event is open to the public. Cost: $15 for adults, $10 for students, which includes soup and a handmade bowl.
