Clarkstown School Official Reacts To School Tragedy

School board president says Connecticut fatalities are a “devastating loss.”

Clarkstown Board of Education President Joe Malgieri reacted strongly to the fatal shootings at an elementary school in Newtown, CT about 60 miles northeast of New City.

“(It’s) A devastating loss for that community and our hearts go out to them,” he said.

Malgieri said, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and the community during this horrible tragedy. The school should be a safe place for our kids and an incident like this should not be happening in an elementary school.”

A horrific act of pure evil. The loss of so many little children at the hands of a vile, evil person is beyond description. Please pray for the victims, their families, and all the First Responders who have done and continue to do a amazing job. I have spent almost my entire adult life in Law Enforcement. This the most horrific call I could ever imagine. There is no harder job than to tell a parent about the loss of a child. May The Lord be good to all involved in this tragedy.

On Monday all students should honor the victims and families of Sandy Hook Elementary School By wearing Sandy Hooks school colors, yellow and black. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD.
