Back to School Shopping: Locally and Online

Where to buy supplies, head for homework help and more

In 2009, Staples captured on film what some parents are feeling now as August comes to a close. It was their back to school commercial: the poor depleted children, the happy Father, the music and lyrics.

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year,” plays in the background as the father skips, flails his arms and kicks up his heels through the aisles with the sad children in tow. It’s a must see.

To speed up your back to school shopping, Patch spoke with local merchants about the best places to stock up. We've also included places at the Palisades Center—and online—you can check out.

Locally:

Where do we begin? One-stop shopping for just about anything. Back to school items are priced at a huge discount, and certain prices rival Target and Staples. Some examples: Elmer’s glue for $.49, notebooks for under a $1 and reusable juice boxes. Go in and grab a coupon book.
