A Nyack High School student has passed away from cancer.
Jessie Yanko was 17 when he died. Principal Nicole Saieva said Yanko was a dedicated student, well liked by students and staff and will be sorely missed at the school, according to Gail Fleur, Communications Director of Nyack School District.
The district has not made any plans yet until there is discussion with Yanko's family.
