West Nyack Mini Golf, Downtown Revitalizaton Dominate Agenda

Clarkstown Town Board Workshop deals with West Nyack downtown update and discussion of town code violations

The Clarkstown Town Board meets Tuesday night to discuss the miniature golf course at Germonds Park, the status of the West Nyack revitalization project and town code violations.

Police Chief Michael Sullivan will present the monthly crime statistics report. Building Inspector Peter Beary along with Deputy Town Attorney Jeff Millman will present information to the board on code violations.  The mini golf course adjacent to Germonds Pool will be reviewed.

Behan Planning & Design Principal John Behan and Senior Design Associate Cynthia Behan will report on the West Nyack Revitalization.  Behan, which is based in Saratoga Springs and has an office in New City, has been working for the Town of Clarkstown for more than five years.

Its projects for the town include: Kevin Landau Park in New City, New City Vision Plan, South Main Street Streetscape Plan and Congers Road Streetscape Plan. The West Nyack Vision Plan adopted in July 2012 was intended to make it more neighborhood friendly and foster development while maintaining its historic character. The town board approved zoning changes for downtown West Nyack in July 2011.

The workshop begins at 7:30 p.m.
