South Nyack Honors DuBow, Van Cura

South Nyack will hold a community celebration in honor of outgoing Mayor Trish DuBow and retired Police Chief Bob Van Cura.

South Nyack residents will gather to honor and thank recently retired Chief of Police Bob Van Cura and outgoing Mayor Tish Dubow Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Street Park.

There will be live music and refreshments. Attendees are asked to bring a contribution to the dessert table. If it rains, the event would be moved to the second floor meeting room at Orangetown Fire Co. #1 at 90 Depot Place.

DuBow chose not to run for re-election as mayor of South Nyack this year. Bonnie Christian won the election March 19, appointing DuBow to her complete her term as Trustee. DuBow first took over as mayor of South Nyack in 2004.
