Nyack to Advertise New Part-Time Positions

Here's a look at the smaller proceedings and discussions from last week's board of trustees meeting in Nyack:

  • Officials are gearing up to advertise the two new part-time positions created in . —village planner and recreation director—carry a combined salary of about $15,000. (That money was originally slated for Village Hall restorations.)  The planner will help with projects like the , and the recreation director will aid with Memorial Park programming.
  • Vic Del Regno is preparing to film a documentary in the village about his parents, whose love letters detail a powerful relationship that existed while his father, Andrew, fought in World War II's Pacific theater and his mother, Helen, lived in Nyack.
  • The village's summer board of trustee meetings have been set: July's will be held on the 19th, and August's on the 9th.
