New Citizens: 151 Sworn In At Naturalization Ceremony
Group includes people who came form 39 different countries.
A group of 151 new citizens, representing 39 countries, was sworn in Friday in a naturalization ceremony at Ramapo High School in Spring Valley.
The ceremony, orchestrated by Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato, featured the East Ramapo Marching Band and included 500 students attending.
Speakers at the ceremony included Ramapo Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence, 11-year old organ transplant recipient Lauren Shields and Judge Victor J. Alfieri Jr. officiating.
