Piermont Trustee Audie Moran to Step Down

Moran acted as a village lawmaker for over 10 years.

After more than a decade as a Piermont lawmaker, trustee Audie Moran is slated to step down this December, yielding her seat to a new Democratic legislator.

Moran is choosing to reliquish her seat along with fellow Dem trustee Joan Gussow. Moran says her decision is dictated by civic responsibility, and not disenchantment.

"It's not that I wanted to [leave], but I recently got married, and life may be taking me in a different direction," Moran said. "I didn't want to run for office and leave mid-term. I felt the right thing to do was step down."
