Gerber wins re-election as Clarkstown Town Justice

Unofficial results show Gerber receiving more than 53 percent of vote

Clarkstown Incumbent Howard Gerber keeps his seat on the bench according to the unofficial results. Gerber, who has served four years as Town Justice ran against Antonio Reda.

Gerber, 54, received 8,794 votes or 53 percent of those cast in the race. He is a Democract from Valley Cottage.  Reda had the Republican, Independence, Conservative and Working Families lines and received 7,676 votes or 46 percent of the votes.

"I'm happy to continue doing the job I've been doing for the past four and a half years," said Gerber. "You can do it on one party line. I also had support from people in other parties too but Democrats can win in Clarkstown. Antonio Reda ran a good race. I think the voters said that experience is what they want though. I'm happy that Ill get to serve the people of Clarkstown for four more years."
