South Nyack residents don't want to raze Village Hall and put up a parking lot.
The March 20 meeting at Nyack College drew lots of residents but little support for one proposal to create parking on the site of Village Hall for the terminus of the bicycle/pedestrian path coming off the new bridge.
According to news reports, people preferred having Interchange 10 redesigned, with parking located there.
On the west side of the Hudson River, plans are now being considered to turn the state police barracks into a parking lot and rest area for pedestrians and cyclists.
